    Street Cranes Lift Princess' Plymouth Expansion

    Luxury sector boatbuilders Princess Yachts of Plymouth UK are expanding operations with a major redevelopment programme underway at their Newport Street facility. 

    Hagglunds Drives High Powered Towing Winches

    The Engineering Business Ltd has developed a new generation of tow winches for the latest Sea Stallion cable ploughs using Hagglunds hydraulic motors and brakes. These cable ploughs are burying submarine cables up to 3m below the seabed. 

    Gottwald Going to Jamaica

    German crane manufacturer Demag Mobile Cranes GmbH has won a contract to deliver a 100 tonne HMK 300 E mobile harbour crane to Kingston Wharves Ltd of Kingston, Jamaica. The crane was shipped from Dusseldorf in June and is scheduled to begin commercial operation in Kingston this month. 

    'Neptune' is King of the Ropes

    The winner of Cosalt's competition to find a product name for its latest heavy duty polysteel potting rope is Devon skipper Alan Steer who came up with the name Neptune. 

    North Sea Fleet Adds 20th Effer Crane

    Two more Effer cranes have been fitted to the Boston Putford North Sea fleet of offshore vessels. The new cranes fitted to the 69m Putford Enterprises standby and support vessel, presently on contract to Shell and operating out of Great Yarmouth UK, brings the number of Effer cranes in service with Boston Putford's fleet to 20.
