Halmatic acquired the Cara Marine commercial craft designs and moulds in June, adding to its product range in the commercial sector, particularly in the bigger pilot boat sector. As a result of the agreement, Cara Marine was able to concentrate on its strategy to build leisure craft.

The 52ft craft for Clyde will have all the established attributes of a Cara Marine launch and is designed to meet the operatiional requirements of the owner in capability, safety, crew fatigue, noise levels, engine access, comfort, performance and economy. The vessel will be powered by Scania DI12 engines.
