MBE for Solar Solve Chairman

John Lightfoot, chairman of anti-glare roller screen manufacturer Solar Solve Marine, was surprised but delighted to be awarded an MBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours List.
The honour was recommended by the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office in recognition of services to international trade. Solar Solve Marine exports approximately 90% of its turnover.
Solar Solve experienced a double Royal celebration when Lightfoot's daughter Julie, Solar Solve's managing director, received an invitation from The Queen to attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
Further cause for jubilation came when the company achieved DNV accreditation for its Solasolv range of products after months of trials and rigourous testing.
