10 Year Cover for EPIRBs
01 Feb 2002
Surrey UK-based Sartech Engineering, specialists in the supply of EPIRBs and other emergency equipment, make the tempting offer of extending the warranty up to 10 years for equipment supplied directly by themselves.
EPIRBs and search and rescue transponders (SARTs) should be tested before every trip, and if a test reveals a problem, Sartech will replace or repair faulty units it has supplied from new if they are returned within five years of the date of purchase. The only charge is for return post to the owner. If the EPIRB or SART is serviced and the battery changed by Sartech in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, usually five years after purchase or after any activation, Sartech will extend this warranty up to a maximum of 10 years after the date of original purchase.
