The Dutch tug Tarka of Herman Sr BV, of Zwijndrecht, has been contracted to support dredging operations with Van Oord in Port Said, Egypt. Tarka, three barges, and other floating plant was transported to Egypt aboard the heavy lift ship Smit Express, where they will work for five months.

The hull of a new 22m Shoalbuster has arrived at Damen's Hardinxveld shipyard to be fitted out for Herman Snr BV. Already bearing the name Herman, delivery is scheduled for late April.

Bugsier 30, one of the last conventional screw tugs in service with Bugsier Reederei of Hamburg, has been sold to Italy. Built in 1965, she is a tug of 101 gross tons, powered by a single Deutz main engine of 1,050bhp. The tug will be stationed in Palermo and be renamed Toto.

Adsteam Towage Ltd of Southampton have been relocated from their dockside offices to their original office block in the town centre. Effective from early January the company's new address is now Alexandra House, 3rd Floor, 10/11 Queens Terrace, Southampton SO14 3BP.

The company's telephone and fax numbers will remain unchanged.
