01 May 2002
Two new survey vessels being built at the Royal Schelde yard in Flushing for delivery to the Royal Netherlands Navy in 2004 are to be equipped with integrated bridge systems designed by Imtech Marine & Offshore of Rotterdam.
Based on Imtech's UniMACS 3000 configuration, they will combine navigation and survey subsystems with the latter comprising QINSYy software modules from Quality Positioning Systems (QPS) which are capable of providing a wide range of functions covering multibeam and 3D seismic surveys as well as tracking of up to 999 vessels or objects at any one time.
