Break load tests have confirmed that R4 standards (Proof load 5,682kN and break load 7,208kN) were easily achieved. The limit is reached at 7,790kN, which is break load failure. Fatigue tests were also undertaken on two 77mm QuickLinks at the DMT Test Station at Bochum in Germany with impressive results.

Bodewes has recently delivered the first of two deepwater combined mooring systems to Singapore for GlobalSantaFe of Houston, Texas USA. Configuration of the system consists of eight winch units with a combination of chain and steel rope in one combined winch frame. The GlobalSantaFe mandated 16 point chain/wire system will hold a rig on position even in a '100 Year' storm.
