Vetus Adds Small Electric Stern Thruster to its Range

The Netherlands' Vetus Den Ouden adds to its range of side-directional bow and stern thrusters with the introduction this year of a small electric stern thruster which, in spite of a diameter of only 110 mm, provides a thrust of 25 kgf.

Due to its compact measurements the new model will work well with smaller boats and two can be installed next to one another for larger craft. In combination with a bow thruster, the unit will provide good control over a boat even in unfavourable conditions such heavy winds and strong currents.

The motor for the new unit is fitted inside the boat and a maintenance free tunnel made of synthetic materials features carefully shaped end fairings to deliver optimum thrust power.
