The installation will utilise the proven DataChief C20 machinery automation system, whose basic function is alarm and monitoring but can be extended to include control functionality. A large number of processes can be controlled via the C20, including pump, boiler and purification. The power management system is a complete switchboard control and generator control system, handling various configurations of generators driven by diesel engines, steam turbines and main engines in combination with switchboards of various complexity.

The turn-key delivery will take place during dry docking this autumn, with the project expected to be completed by January or February of next year. The new system will replace an existing Kongsberg system installed 16 years ago.
