HR Wallingford Commissioned for Italian Marina Study

HR Wallingford has recently been commissioned by Consorzio Porto di Cattolica to carry out studies in connection with the development of a marina in the entrance of the Tavollo River at Cattolica, Italy.
The work will involve studies of wave disturbance in the marina; a coastal erosion study and the definition of a coastal monitoring strategy for the area surrounding the river mouth;
flow modelling of the Tavollo river in relation to dredging;
associated impact on navigation;
and assessment of sedimentation.
