Management Buy-In at Blondecell
01 Feb 2003
Blondecell, which completed the construction of a 23m Offshore Motor Training Vessel for the Sea Cadet Corps last year, is currently building a 21.3m scientific yacht for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and has a healthy order book for the ongoing construction of Discovery 55 yachts, Bladerunner 34 powerboats and Reid Marine Hawk 20 dayboats.
The company has recently completed glassfibre mouldings for two very large 'meeting pods' to be installed atop the Victoria House office redevelopment in London's Bloomsbury Square.
Taking innovative technology back into the marine sector, Blondecell has recently signed a major contract with a London property developer to construct a new generation of 'floating offices' to be located on inland waterways in city centres both in the UK and Europe.
The 60ft long, two story 'superyacht' offices are designed by racing yacht specialist Simon Rogers. Moulded in glassfibre, they will provide an attractive and unusual working environment for many small companies.
