Port Security Officer Nicks Award

A security supervisor who has been credited with reinvigorating the team and introducing new procedures since joining the Securicor team at ABP Newport has been awarded the Outstanding Contribution to the Customer award at the company's annual Security Officer of the Year ceremony.
Eddie Garwood has transformed the effectiveness of security at ABP Newport.
The changes introduced by Eddie Garwood have transformed the security of the port area via a new system which overhauled the CCTV and introduced new pass practices and measures.
Vandalism at the port has almost been eradicated, to the satisfaction of port customers.
