The scope of the work included the installation of low level ground anchors and strengthening work to the sheet piled quay wall.

The work was carried out using the largest limpet dam that has been manufactured by John Martin, at its plant fabrication depot near Norwich UK.

The limpet was 12m deep, 5m wide and weighed 32 tonnes.

The use of a limpet dam allowed work to be carried out in safety while minimising any disruption to traffic at the port.
