Boost for European DGPS Service

Veripos has enhanced its proprietary European dual frequency Inmarsat DGPS service for offshore users with the establishment of three new reference stations at Ijmuiden in the Netherlands and Kristiansund and Tananger in Norway.
Complementing other remote stations in Italy, the UK and the Netherlands, they will ensure rapid update rates and low data latency with fully redundant communications links connected to Veripos' main DGPS network control centre (NCC) in Aberdeen.
The complete network permits computation of multiple reference station position solutions for added reliability and precision while being fully compatible with all types of GPS receiver using the RTCM SC104 V2.1 correction format.
It is typically capable of providing accuracies of 1 to 2m over ranges up to 2,000 km.
