Estuary Studies Completed

A 15-month study of tidal, fluvial and sedimentary processes and ecological mapping of the Lune estuary and eastern shores of Morecambe Bay has recently been completed by Hydrosurveys of Kenilworth, Warwickshire on behalf of Lancaster City Council .
The company, comprising a multi-disciplinary team of surveyors and biologists supported by office-based mapping, digital terrain modelling, GIS and CAD facilities, specialises in inland water and shoreline operations.
Its impressive list of clients includes Associated British Ports, the Environmental Agency, the European Commission and the World Bank as well as numerous other agencies and commercial concerns.
Future projects, said Director Peter Fox on the company's Seawork stand, include a major series of pre and post-dredging survey assessments in North Wales involving sub-bottom profiling and monitoring of disposal sites.
