Tow Rope Protectors for Powerful Tugs

The Extra Heavy Duty (EHD+) range of Tow Rope Protectors has been introduced by Hallam Polymer to combat the extraordinary forces being applied by today's powerful tugs during ocean going salvage operations. Specially designed to give maximum protection to the tow rope/wire/ cable by preventing abrasion and chafe against bulwarks, rails and fairleads, the EHD+ range are flexible, tough and hard wearing.

Sleeves 210 mm in diameter are increased by 40% in X-sectional area over existing types, with a corresponding increase in physical strength.

They are suitable for rope sizes 60 mm to 90 mm diameter and the greater loads they impart give tug masters increased confidence in their ability to minimise rope damage in adverse conditions.

This EHD+ range adds to the variety of towing sleeves and shoes manufactured by Hallam Polymer which are available in a range of lengths and cable sizes to suit operational requirements.

They offer abrasion resistance, durability, impact absorption, oil/chemical/ozone/salt water resistance even in freezing conditions.
