Ultra Tuff Struts Its Stuff at the seawork2003
01 Mar 2003
Ultra Tuff International (UK) makes its first appearance at seawork this year, exhibiting the range of non-skid safety coatings now made available to the British and European markets from their new base in Lancashire UK.
Uses in the marine and offshore exploration industries include decks, walkways and ladders, galley, lockers, docks, warehousing, storage and trash areas where slip hazards may exist due to wet or oily conditions.
Traditionally treacherous marine environments such as engine rooms, jetties and navigation buoys are all made safer.
The Ultra Tuff range of products are environmentally friendly, their water base ensuring no solvents, VOCs or isocyanates. As they are single component, there is no mixing or waste and their recycled and synthetic rubber aggregates ensure no spark hazard. They are non-toxic, non-flammable and non-hazardous, enabling shipment by UPS or Fedex type services if necessary.
Ultra Tuff can be applied to almost any properly prepared surface, including steel, aluminium, concrete, fibreglass, timber, PVC and tile. The product can be applied by roller or spray gun and can be applied to specialist primers and many standard marine primers.
Ultra Tuff has been tested and is in use in many markets, including the Gulf of Mexico offshore industry, the US, Australian and Chilean Navies, the US Coast Guard, OSVs and crewboats and on board ferries.
