A new multimedia educational website launched in the UK last month brings together museums, libraries and archives to enhance public understanding of Britain's maritime history.
PortCities UK offers unique resources, many made available to the public for the first time, and containing content from the major maritime centres of Bristol, Hartlepool, Liverpool, London and Southampton. Visitors to www. portcities. org. uk can interact with this material, build their own galleries and try their hand at quizzes and games.
