UKHO Switches on Digital List of Lights

The UK Hydrographic Office has launched the latest addition to its expanding digital products range. The Admiralty Digital List of Lights is aimed primarily at the SOLAS commercial shipping sector and provides information on over 70,000 navigational lights throughout the world. It builds on earlier digital trials covering UK waters introduced last year.

Three Year Navaids Maintenance Contract for Trinity House

Trinity House in the UK has won a three year contract for the maintenance of aids to navigation around the coasts of Devon and Cornwall that are the responsibility of South West Water. These navaids, numbering more than 300 buoys and beacons, mark outfalls into rivers, estuaries and the sea, pipeline crossings and other obstructions in navigable waters.
