MoU Signed for Transhipment Hub at Scapa Flow

The next stage in a project to construct the Scapa Flow Container Transhipment Port was initiated in early July, when a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Orkney Islands Council and International Container Hubs Limited (ICHL) was concluded.
The Memorandum gives ICHL exclusive rights to work up their concept, including seeking the necessary regulatory approvals, for the Golta Peninsula, and be in a position to commence construction within two years.
ICHL will publicly launch their proposals at an event to be held in Orkney some time this month.
