Quiet Type Approval for Halyard

Halyard has been granted Lloyds Register Type Approval for two of its products; silicon exhaust hoses and bellows, and GRP exhaust silencers.

The two approvals cover the entire range of standard and bespoke GRP exhaust silencers manufactured in Halyard's Portsmouth UK plant as well as the range of silicon hoses and bellows made for marine exhaust use at Halyard's new Cerambond plant.

'Achieving Lloyd's Register Type Approval is crucial to us in the marine market for our commercial and leisure customers, said Managing Director James Grazebrook. 'It provides a clear and independent verification that our products meet extremely demanding standards.'

Halyard now claim to be the first company worldwide to manufacture entire marine exhaust systems in-house.
