    Icom's Support for St Dunstan's Builds Blind Faith At Sea

    Kent based Icom (UK) Ltd aresponsoring a training package for St Dunstan's, the charity that provides lifelong care for blinded ex-servicemen and women. The sponsorship package is going towards VHF radio training and Powerboat Level 2 training for the charity's staff and a team of volunteers for its RIB Ad Astra . 

    Sir Jock Slater is the New RNLI Chairman

    The UK's Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has named former First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Sir Jock Slater as its new Chairman. Sir Jock has been appointed following the retirement of Peter Nicholson CBE, who has served as Chairman since July 2000. 

    New Trainers Take to the Waves

    Sea Training International.  The Sea Training International centre has the facility and staff to cater for specialist agencies, companies or individuals requiring specialist training in all aspects of fast offshore rescue, sea survival, VHF/GMDSS radio training, and all levels of power boat training. The centre also is the only establishment in Wales to offer offshore intense medical training to STCW 95 regulations and also claims to be the only centre in Wales to offer training on fully operational commercial Delta Rigid Inflatable Boats up to 33ft in length. 

    Fire Safety Systems for Hospital Ship Conversion

    Cosalt Safety & Protection hassecured a £700,000 contract with A&P Tyne to install the fire safety systems on board the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship, the Africa Mercy .
