Dutch tug owner Engelsman Towage & Salvage of Makkum has taken delivery of the multi-purpose coastal and contracting tug Dutch Partner , just five months after the order was signed. This attractive twin-screw tug vessel is the fourth of a series of sister-ships constructed by Kooiman Shipyards at Zwijndrecht for Dutch operators.

Smit Transport & Heavy Lift BV has exercised an option to build a further offshore support vessel at the Keppel Singmarine shipyard in Singapore. The original contract was placed with Keppel in March of this year for two 70-tonnes bollard pull anchor-handling tug/supply (AHTS) vessels ( Maritime Journal April 2004).
