Flexifloat's Largest Pontoon Completed

Flexifloat Systems BV ofRotterdam has finalised the construction of a new self elevating platform with 48in diameter spuds and a deckload of approximately 400 metric tons. The platform's modular construction makes transport easy and global deployment possible. Once on site, the platform can be assembled in no more than three days.

The basic unit measures 18.5m by 24.5m but the modular concept enables extension should it be required. The Combifloat Self Elevating Platform will be built under Germanischer Lloyd classification. It represents the fifth and largest such platform in the Combifloat fleet.

The company provides a wide variety of modular pontoons and accessories which are available to purchase or rent for use as lay barges, for marine construction support, as ferries or pushboats, etc.

Every pontoon has a load capacity of 15 metric tons per m 2.
