Briggs Spilfyter Distribution Deal

Scottish based Briggs Environmental Services Ltd , a division of Briggs Marine , has announced the next phase in its joint venture with US sorbent and spill kit manufacturer, the NPS Corporation.

The partnership company, Briggs Spilfyter, has been bolstered by NPS' decision to exclusively supply its Spilfyter products to Briggs' recently established base at Redcar in North Yorkshire. The new venture is now looking to build up a network of specialist distributors who already supply clients in the use and transportation of oil and hazardous liquid.

Briggs' exclusive deal with NPS will enable it to consolidate its oil spill response capabilities from its central location in the North East of England and further drive expansion. The addition of warehousing capacity at Redcar has given Briggs greater economies of scale, which translates to competitive costs for material, labour, and waste disposal in oil spill clean-ups.
