Money Matters in Dover's Plan

Consultant High-Point Rendel has been appointed by Dover Harbour Board to conduct the economic and financial component of a Master Plan outlining the Port's future for the coming 30 years.

Phase 1 of the Master Plan was completed in 2003 and outlined possible traffic scenarios. High-Point Rendel will be refining these within Phase 2, looking at development options in more detail along with their commercial implications for the port and its customers.

Dover is Europe's busiest ro-ro freight and passenger ferry port with two dedicated cruise liner terminals, a deep sea cargo terminal and a 400 berth marina. Two further berths are currently under construction and the Board is concerned to investigate how the port might expand its activities, preferably within the existing boundaries.

The High-Point Rendel team is working with Halcrow.
