The large ocean going tug SmitWijs Singapore hadtowed the cargo barge from China to Rotterdam. The discharge operation utilised sheerlegs with capacities of up to 1,500 tonnes, including the Taklift 3 . The largest of the inland vessels had a weight of 1,950 tonnes. The lift-off was a challenge due to the vessel's weight, the need to lift from multiple stations and to position pad-eyes at specific points to distribute forces. A total of five sheerlegs were involved in this lift. Extensive pre-engineering was required.

The vessel was 130m long and the multiple lift required precision working with very little room to manoeuvre.
