Beacons Mark Abu Dhabi Port Expansion

Sea Safe Services Ltd of Abu Dhabi has installed two large unitised beacons from Tideland Signal together with aids to navigation buoys and ancillary equipment at the new port of Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.
Tideland has supplied two SolaChan unitised beacon systems complete with ML-300 lanterns, solar arrays and batteries as well as two small steel buoys fitted with solar powered ML-140 lanterns. Sea Safe Services also installed a large quantity of fenders, bollards and pilot access ladders as well as carrying out a range of minor works.
SolaChan is a factory assembled unit specially designed for fast, easy installation and reliable, low maintenance operation. Two Tideland MMG solar modules fit beneath the lantern on a galvanised steel pedestal, charging batteries contained in a secure GRP battery box at the foot of the assembly.
