ENC Website Upgraded

The International Centre for Electronic Nautical Charts (ENC's) has established a new, improved catalogue on its website (www. ic-enc. org) which displays not only ENC's within its database, but also the latest status of production around the world. It additionally guides users on where charts can be purchased with links to relevant websites.

New Multibeam Systems Announced

New ranges of multibeam echosounders for shallow water applications have been announced separately by Kongsberg Maritime of Norway and Atlas Hydrographic ofGermany. Operating on one of three available frequencies in the 300kHz band, the Kongsberg EM 3002 series is designed for detailed waterways and seafloor mapping as well as inspection operations over depths from 0.5m to 150m.
