Crane Gain Lifts Lloyds British Testing Plc

Birmingham based lifting equipment specialist Lloyds British Testing plc has acquired the Swansea engineering business Rumney Crane , which provides lifting solutions for ports and harbours. Rumney is to be integrated into Lloyds British Testing and will be called Lloyds Rumney Crane Division .
The business, which currently turns over £2 million per annum, will retain its administrative base and key personnel at Port Tennant in Swansea but its engineering services will be available nationwide through Lloyds national network of 15 service centres.
Lloyd's British Testing's chief executive Ian White said, 'Bringing Rumney Crane under the Lloyds umbrella will allow us to reinforce our expertise in crane servicing and will develop our marketplace overseas in crane related industries.'
