Marseilles Maintains Growth

Container handling growth at the French Port of Marseilles was up by 10% in the eight months to the end of August, with a throughput of 608,000 TEU. East-west volumes through Fos rose 9% to 388,000 TEU while terminals handling north-south trades improved by 11% to 220,000 TEU. Container tonnage rose by 13% to top six million ton and underpin an 8% rise in general cargo.
