West Point to Raise the Alarm at Seawork

A newcomer to Seawork2005 will be Fareham UK based West Point Marine Services , a company established in 1986 by Mark Jenkins and expanded in 2000 when he took over Parsons Mathway Marine , previously owned by his father who was retiring at that time.

West Point Marine still manufactures Mathway steering systems and repair Parsons gearboxes, coupled to the sales, service and repair of other gearboxes and steering systems as well as engines. The 2000 expansion added a general chandlery, electronics and specialist equipment supply, plus small boat repair and customisation.

The ambitious company further expanded in 2003/2004 by launching a safety and security division which provides security alarm systems and tagging for any type of vessel plus man overboard and fire prevention systems and a range of safety wear. In this new and fuller incarnation, West Point Marine encompasses manufacturing, engineering and every other aspect of the marine trade for private and commercial operators as well as the Ministry of Defence for various countries including the UK.

At Seawork 2005 , West Point Marine Services will be exhibiting Mathway steering systems, and BlueRay Marine boating security systems which provide not only security alarm function but also deliver a full vessel monitoring package. A fully operational alarm system promises to be one of the sonic highlights of the show.
