New Service from RHG
01 Dec 2005
The Radio Holland Group (RHG), with branch offices located along the major shipping routes, and specialising in the supply, installation and service of maritime electronics, is rolling out a new service information system over all of its branches, managed by their Global Service House.
RHG has recognised an increase in demand for fleet-management information and, responding to this development, the Global Service House, a new, central department situated in Rotterdam will support the RHG branch-offices worldwide in developing its service business by the use of a global system called the Central Database.
This enables the RHG branch offices to provide ship owners with information on the service history of equipment on board their vessels like:
.Number of calls (per port) .First time right ratio's, .Problems and solutions per equipment, .Warranty, .Preventive maintenance actions, etc.
Besides delivering service information, the new system supports a process whereby a service call for any port of the world, will be automatically processed, transferred and picked up by Radio Holland branch-offices executing or managing service in a specific area and its related port(s).
Within these designated areas the Radio Holland branch-office will be the single point of contact for execution, or further distribution of the service request to service partners for preparation, execution and eventual reporting of the service call.
