Based at Zierikzee in the Netherlands, Seatec Underwater Systems BV hasunveiled its latest Dredge Head Monitoring System . It is designed to monitor the dredging process on various types of dredgers and is able to store all relevant data.
Utilising Seatec's proprietary angle, pressure and tilt monitoring sensors a basic but complete monitoring package is available with sensor interfacing like Gyro, Tidal and DGPS available.
In addition, state of the art positioning like RTK or LRTK can be interfaced to provide sub-decimeter positioning.
The system displays all the information in numeric values and colours related to the dredging depths. Graphical top, side and swing views are available to present the necessary information for an accurate and timesaving dredging operation. It can be used as a stand-alone system running independently from the various survey programmes.
The system's main features incorporate a reliable interface with Seatec's monitoring sensors, vessel outline import in DXF AutoCAD® format, full color dredge mark indication in all views related to depth, basic and 3D design profile input, standard and custom data logging, coordinate system builder capable of creating local coordinate grids, survey data import, dredge data export and electronic charts import in DXF AutoCAD® format.
The new system is available in various versions to suit budgets and dredger types.
