Retrofits were completed in November and December of Lyngso Marine A/S alarm and monitoring systems to the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries Loch Dunvegan and Loch Fyne as well as the Serco Denholm managed , Portsmouth based tug Powerful . 2004 was also a busy year for the company's instrumentation service and maintenance section, with many large refit projects completed both in the UK and Singapore.

For 2005, the 'family' owned company has many good prospects for its partners Lyngso Marine A/S, Schaller Automation, and a new venture cooperation agreement with Sweden's Consilium Marine AB for the marketing, sales, installation and after sales support of the next generation of Voyage Data Recorders, the SVDR for the UK market.

Current projects in hand with Bond are the replacement of an obsolete alarm and monitoring system on Mercy Ships' hospital ship Africa Mercy , which has passed the class factory acceptance test and is now awaiting a start date from the shipyard for installation. Also in hand is a fresh water salinity monitoring system for a UK owned and managed cruise ship.

Bond has also secured an order from Shell to undertake upgrades to various Lyngso Marine A/S systems fitted to the FSUSoorena stationed off Iran.

Last month Rolls-Royce placed an order for the supply of 14 Schaller oil mist detectors to be installed on engines for a large offshore project.

The coming year will see Bond expand both its projects and service departments whilst also strengthening partnerships and collaborations with other OEMs.
