Kalmar Extends Port Handling Interests

The acquisition fits in with the company's strategy of boosting its direct involvement in sales and services in major ports and container terminals worldwide.
The rental business acquired will further strengthen Kalmar's growth in this expanding sector.
Peinemann Kalmar CV and Peinemann Kalmar Rental CV will be renamed Kalmar Nederland and Kalmar Rental respectively and will continue to operate from the same location at Hoogvliet in the Port of Rotterdam. Kalmar Nederland will continue to focus on the sales and servicing of counterbalanced equipment and terminal tractors while Kalmar Rental will continue to develop rental and fleet management activities.
