It will enable the Port to monitor, record, analyse and replay vessel Automatic Identification System (AIS) data in conjunction with hydrographic vector and ARCS charts as well as embedded third- party datasets. This, it says, will ensure more efficient supervision of safety, security and vessel management operations.

The system will be deployed and utilised for analysis of all vessel movements via the Port's main control tower and desks of relevant managers. The contract provisions also include a ChartViewAIS Logger, three suites of ChartViewAIS, onsite installation and training, and client-specific software development. Intranet browserbased viewing licences are also in the course of development.
