UK Dredging's New Irish Contract
01 Nov 2005
UK Dredging (UKD), a division of Associated British Ports, recently signed a three year maintenance dredging contract with the Port of Waterford in Ireland to maintain its harbour's waterways.
The agreement will see UKD Bluefin, a trailing-suction vessel, dredging the shipping channels between Duncannon Bar and the freight terminal at Belview.
Jeff Neale, UKD General Manager, commented on the new contract: “UKD Bluefin is a modern and highly efficient suction dredger, ideally suited to the port’s requirements. UKD is very pleased to have won this contract and is very proud to be working with the Port of Waterford. We trust that this agreement signals the beginning of a fruitful working relationship.”
