Oi06 Call for Papers

The Oi06 conference is entitled 'The Global Ocean Forum' and will include plenary presentations and discussion panels spanning the issues Ocean Resource Management and Global Stewardship, Natural Hazards, Security and Safety, and Precision Position and Navigation. Presenters will highlight aspects of science, technology, policy and/or data management in each of the four tracks. Further details are at www. oilondon. com/conference.
On the exhibition side, more than 600 exhibitors from 25 countries are expected at Oi06, with national pavilions from France, Germany, the Netherlands and Atlantic Canada. New for Oi06 will be a First Time Exhibitor Zone as well as a nearby Dive Pavilion, a designated area for those involved in the commercial diving industry. There were 18 vessels berthed alongside the ExCel dock for Oi 2004 and there are expected to be even more at Oi06, giving visitors the chance to view survey equipment on board hydrographic ships. Running alongside Oi06 is a new event, Spill 06, which will present recent advances in spill technologies both maritime and onshore. More information on this event is at www.spill06.co.uk
