Naturally Aspirated Clean Marine Engine

The new naturally aspirated Perkins Sabre M92B is claimed to be the only marine propulsion engine in the world to be certified as complying with Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine (CCNR) Stage Two requirements, which do not come into force until January 2007. The new direct injection four cylinder 4.4 litre engine supersedes the Perkins Sabre M92 and complies with all known European marine environmental legislation until 2011.

RingProp PLC has selected E P Barrus Ltd to distribute the company's innovative ringed propeller line in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Barrus will employ its substantial technical experience to complement RingProp's own testing programme and help to create a selection guide for boat users in the UK. Barrus will also be responsible for warehousing, distribution and sales.

Portuguese Propulsion Package

The Arsenal do Alfeite yard in Portugal has built two 16.1m aluminium patrol boats for that country's navy. Each boat is powered by twin Scania DI12M marine diesels rated 460kW at 2,200 rpm which are direct coupled to UltraJet 376 waterjets.
