Acoustic Underwater Trials in Falmouth

Falmouth UK based BayMarine has successfully carried out acoustic sea trials on behalf of a major British defence contractor. The trials were carried out in 60m deep water in Falmouth Bay from Bay Marine's multi-talented workboat Redeemer .
International Cooperation Saves Trapped Submariners

James Fisher Rumic Ltd , which operates the British Royal Navy 's submarine rescue service, completed a successful four day operation to rescue the Russian Priz AS-28 submersible, saving the lives of seven Russian sailors trapped in the mini-submarine 625ft below the Pacific on the ocean floor off Russia's far eastern Kamchatka peninsula. The rescue was achieved with the trapped sailors having fewer than ten hours of air remaining for survival.
Seawork Feedback Inspires Subsea Cleaner

Following a successful visit to Seawork 2005 , Surrey UK based Fraer Pump and Engineering have responded to customer requests and refined two existing products to develop a subsea cleaning system which can be deployed to remove harbour corrosion both above and below water. Many visitors to the stand at Seawork expressed a need for a smaller, more mobile machine that could tackle such tasks within a harbour environment.
