Brewaba at Work in Bremerhaven

Brewaba, the German subsidiary of Dutch dredging giant Van Oord, has been awarded a contract in Bremerhaven from client Bremenports Consult GmbH.
The joint venture project will realise some 7m for Van Oord. Work began last month and is scheduled for completion by November.
The project involves the construction of a turning basin for Container Terminal IV. Some 2.2m m 3of sand will be dredged in the current works, using two trailing suction hopper dredgers and a bucket dredger. The dredged sand will be beneficially re-used in Brake, where an industrial area is being created. Van Oord has deployed its trailing suction hopper dredger Geopotes 15 for these works.
