Following successful operations in the North Sea, the unit was mobilised to the USA where it will deployed on a major subsea pipeline project in the Gulf of Mexico. Scan Tech UK's technical director Jeff Riddoch said, 'The new HydroDigger has attracted keen levels of interest from both existing and potential new clients. Due to its increased power and high levels of efficiency, this unit will reduce project vessel time, resulting in significant cost savings for clients.'

Other units in the Scan Tech UK HydroDigger fleet kept busy throughout 2005 with projects in the North Sea, the Mediterranean, the Gulf of Mexico, and South East Asia.
