Bow Wow in Trondheim

The Norwegian Engineering Feat of the Year Award for 2005 was presented to Ulstein Design AS at a recent seminar in Trondheim for their Ulstein X-BOW hull design.
The award by Teknisk Ukeblad magazine goes to the best technical solution to a technical or social problem having local, national or international significance for society.
The much debated Ulstein X-BOW breaks from traditional hull design by inclining the bow backward and raising the hull.
