UK Consultation Paper on Dredging Regulations

The Department for Communities and Local Government in the UK has issued a Consultation Paper on Draft Marine Minerals Dredging Regulations and Procedural Guidance. The document is aimed at the marine dredging industry, organisations who advise on dredging proposals, environmental groups and those who comment on individual dredging applications.

The consultation period is 6 June 2006 to 28 August 2006 and the document product code is: 06 PD 03955.

The consultation paper seeks comments on the draft Environmental Impact Assessment and Natural Habitats (Extraction of Minerals by Marine Dredging) (England and Northern Ireland) Regulations 2006 and draft procedural guidance (Marine Minerals Guidance Note 2) on the draft Regulations insofar as they apply to the extraction of marine minerals by dredging in English waters.
