New Exhibitors Get a Lift at Seawork
01 Mar 2006
With space at a premium in many modern marinas, converting to a mobile boat management system makes sound economic sense whilst also achieving safe and efficient working practices. New Seawork exhibitor Marine Travelift Inc engineers and manufactures a range of mobile boat hoists, yard trailers and marine forklifts which make it all possible.
The Hampshire UK based company has a range of mobile boat hoists currently available with handling capacities of between 15 tons and 1,000 tons.
Advanced technical operating features coupled to a sling equalising system ensure boats of all types and sizes can be hauled safely and gently, with minimal stress on a vessel's hull.
Marine Travelift announced the introduction of the new TM40 at the Miami International Boat Show earlier this year. Depending on the size of the trailer, there are various options available, all of which allow for proportional forward and reverse running, independent front and back lifting and descent, and independent front and back steering.
Also new to the Marine Travelift portfolio is the Mariner M2000-S short-turn forklift.
Powered by the latest Cummins Tier 2 compliant diesel engine, this mammoth machine has a 20,000 pound lifting capacity, a heavy duty two-stage mast, wet-disk brakes, and heavy duty axles. The side mounted cab provides exceptional visibility for the operator and, with the hand-held remote, one person can easily and safely lift or lower a boat into place.
