Rotzler Rolls Out New Winches

German winches, capstans and winch systems manufacturer Rotzler has added new compact hoisting winches to its Titan series which are well suited to marine applications.

The new Rotzler Titan TC 3 winch combines low weight with extremely compact dimensions. It exerts a hoisting force of 41 kN on the first layer and its stainless steel drum will stand up to extreme operating conditions in marine applications. The second new model, the Titan TC 5, has a hoisting force of 57 kN on the first layer.

The new model winches introduce an integrated axial piston motor which delivers smooth hoisting performance. Rotzler’s Measuring Control Device (MCD) monitoring system is also available. This system permanently monitors the winch hoisting torque. The output signal can be easily integrated into the control system of the machine, enabling compliance with the latest EU standards. The MCD signal can be used for applications such as the programming of overload safeguards, winch shutdown upon identifying the end of the rope, connection of a visual load display or output of acoustic warning signals.

A new load sensor called NOVA improves the safety and reliability of winch operation. It can be quickly and easily replaced without removing the winch from its mounting position.
