Lloyds Register Quality Assurance ,(LRQA) has issued its first ISO/PAS 28000 certificate for international supply chain security to global container port terminal operators DP (Dubai Ports) World.
Ironically, DP World, which was prevented from taking control of the American component of its recent P&O Ports purchase by terror fears in the USA, becomes the first ports group to take up management systems which underpin the operational requirements now being implemented by most supply chain operators striving to enhance security and deal with threats from terrorists.
