With the UK Government aiming to generate 20% of the national energy requirement from renewable sources by 2020, it has now launched a website through which the progress of development can be tracked.
Visitors to this interactive map of UK renewable energy locations will be able to pinpoint onshore and offshore wind farms, solar power schemes, hydro electric and biofuel projects across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales at a click of a mouse. The site can be found at http://maps.restats.org.uk.
