Conference Will Navigate the Water Framework Directive

PIANC, together with its partners in the Navigation Task Group on the Water Framework Directive, will host a conference on the EU's Water Framework Directive and the issues it raises for ports, navigation and dredging in Brussels on 31 January 2007. 

'Mega Trailer' Dredging for Shams Abu Dhabi

Royal Boskalis Westminster's mega trailer Queen of the Netherlands has begun dredging and reclamation operations in the waters of Abu Dhabi for Sorouh Real Estate's Shams Abu Dhabi project on Reem Island. 

Boskalis Acquires Large Contracts in Russia

Dutch dredging company Royal Boskalis Westminster has won two large contracts in Russia. In St Petersburg, Boskalis will dredge a new access channel from the sea. In Varandey, Boskalis is involved in the construction of two oil pipelines of 20km each in the Barents Sea. The total contract value of both projects amounts to some 75m. 

CEDA Unveils Technical Dictionary

The Netherlands based Central Dredging Association (CEDA), along with PIANC and other sister organizations IAPH, IALA and IHO, are working together to jointly release a 'Water Dictionary' with an improved structure and content. 

GTS Subsea Completes Coring Contract
